When Lenard scored his V70 two years, he instantly took it for an inspection at a Volvo specialist — Precision Motors in the Silverlake neighborhood of Los Angeles. While the wagon was given extra TLC, he roamed around the shop, seduced by both vintage and new models — some seemed liked they were randomly sitting there as part of a decorum and noticed how personal items left on the backseats became like artefacts stored behind the glass vitrines of a museum. 

Born in California, Lenard Smith approaches photography from a fine art background, creating quietly seductive imagery across the genres of portraiture, still life, and landscape photography.
